Coca Cola Recipe:This American Life Reveals the Secret Formula

By Brooke McLay |

A recipe that has been closely guarded with “bank vault” level protection is today’s hottest Google search. Hold your horses, WikiLeaks, Ira Glass and his this American Life crew have done a bit of digging and discovered what they believe to be the actual, original recipe of Coca Cola. The recipe (below) was revealed on the weekend edition of the This American Life broadcast.

When members of the radio show staff mixed up a batch of the formula, they were unable to differentiate between their own concoction, and that of the actual bottled drink. Interested in trying your own taste test at home?  Here’s the formula, as it was revealed on the show.

Big deal. Who wants to take the time to make it at home? NOBODY I’m headed out the grab another 2 litre. BTW, if you want to make your Coke taste even better, try adding a little whiskey or rum. Cheers! ps good luck making money by counterfeiting Coke, its already available everywhere.

I have to say, this is a recipe I will never, ever make ;)

  3. DHM says:

Oh so the secret flavour is secret 7X flavouring! Why didn’t you just say so? I’ve got three litres of the stuff gathering dust in my garage. At least now I can use it for something. Unlike the Colonel’s secret spice mix, which unfortunately I have just run out of.

  4. Cajun Chef Ryan says:

People are so funny! Tee hee… I will be making 100X batches of the 7X and selling it as my Cajun Elixer, heals all wounds for sure.
    =:~)
