If you’re looking to switch up your grilling routine for the 4th of July and really knock this one out of the park, with your guests oohing and aahing over your meat just as they will the fireworks later that evening, try kicking it up a bit. This coffee-spiked grill rub is just the right amount of sweet and salty, with dark coffee tones that will make your steak sing.
Coffee-Spiked Grill Rub
2 packets Starbucks VIA packets
1 tablespoon kosher salt
2 tablespoons ground coriander
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground fennel seeds
1 tablespoon ground star anise
4 66-ounce steaks
Preheat grill. Stir Starbucks VIA, salt, coriander, brown sugar, fennel seeds, and star anise together. Coat meat evenly on both sides. Grill to desired doneness.
*Meat can be coated with rub up to an hour before grilling and stored in refrigerator until ready.
