{Cookbook Giveaway} SpongeBob's Kitchen Mission

My son is a huge SpongeBob fan. At first, I didn’t get it. What is it about SpongeBob? The show isn’t known for being that educational. But my mother-in-law insisted it was completely harmless, and told me to just go with it. And then very soon after, I got addicted too. SpongeBob is such a lovable little character that doesn’t let anything get him down. He’s a forever optimist, with a best friend that would do anything for him. I love that he finds joy in his mundane job with his money-hungry, penny-pinching crab of a boss. And he also only has love for his moody and annoying neighbor, Squidward. Even though the exact logistics and details of the show don’t make sense sometimes (fish drinking soda in the water and boats driving underwater), it’s the big picture of the show that I absolutely love.

So when I heard that there was a new SpongeBob cookbook from Nickelodeon, I couldn’t wait to see it. I got my copy yesterday. My son and I were both so excited. The book is filled with unexpected delicious recipes. It is also filled with all the cooking terms your kids need to know to be little chefs. I just could not have been more pleased with this book. I knew it would be good, but it was so much better than I expected. All the recipes were kid-friendly, but not your typical plain chicken nuggets. Instead, the cookbook has recipes like a savory sundae, pot stickers which go by the name of half moons, a vegetarian chili, stuffed shells, and of course cupcakes that look like krabby patties.

I love this cookbook so much, I got 4 copies to give away to our Family Kitchen readers. For a chance to win a copy of SpongeBob’s Kitchen Mission Cookbook: The Battle for the Best Bites in Bikini Bottom, just leave a comment below.
