COOL WHIP Watermelon Sorbet

Start your summertime off right with a fun, fresh recipe that turns a favorite seasonal fruit into a cool, creamy sorbet thanks to the addition of COOL WHIP Whipped Topping. This easy recipe is fun to make with kids, because it’s so easy to make, and requires constant scraping as it freezes, so kids can watch the chilly science of freezing happen right before their eyes! A science lesson with a cool treat on a hot summer day? You betta believe it!

COOL WHIP Watermelon Sorbet

  • 3 cups watermelon
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 (8 ounce) tub COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips

In a blender, puree the watermelon with the sugar. In a large, plastic bowl, stir the watermelon puree with the whipped topping. Add food coloring, if desired. Cover bowl tightly with plastic wrap, then place in freezer. Every 20-minutes or so, use a fork to scrape the sorbet to keep it from turning into a solid mass. Scoop into small cups after about 2-3 hours of freezing. Sprinkle with chocolate chips, serve and enjoy!

What you add makes it. #coolwhipmoms
