Crispy Wonton Cut-OutsBrooke McLay
You can sit down to a snack, but that’s boring. Your kids think it’s boring, too. Just try asking them ifthey was an apple or a blaag of blaaabby crackers and they’ll probably respond with the same ho-hum disaffection as the whole thing deserves. Rather than serving plain old crackers or chips, get your kids involved in the process! Give them a wonton wrapper and a toothpick and let them “poke” out their own designs. Use a clean pair of scissors to cut out the design, brush with melted butter and bake! So easy and so adorable. Stay tuned for a splendid Strawberry-Kiwi Dessert Salsa that tastes amazing alongside these fun and funky little chips!
- 1 package wontons
- 1 stick melted butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoons of salt
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Use a toothpick to trace a design on your wonton wrappers. With a clean pair of kitchen scissors, cut the wonton wrappers into whatever design you choose. A sharp metal cookie cutter also works well for cutting designs into chips.
Brush each side of the wonton chips with melted butter. Arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet, season with salt and sugar. Bake 6-7 minutes, or until crispy and golden brown. Serve with your favorite dessert salsa. Enjoy!
