Delightful Dirt and Grass Vegan Shake
vegan, serves 1-2
1/2 cup vanilla soy or almond milk
2 frozen bananas
2 Tbsp raw walnuts
1/4 tsp spirulina powder (green superfood!)
1/2 tsp raw cacao nibs and/or 1 tsp cacao powder (optional)
garnish: edible flowers (chamomile used)
1. Add the bananas, non-dairy milk and walnuts to a high speed blender. Blend until thick and creamy.
2. If using cocoa for this “dirt” layer, remove about 1/2 cup of the mixture and set aside. Add cacao to remaining amount in blender and blend until dark brown.
3. Pour dirt (cacao or cacao-free) into serving glass. Or if cacao-free this is pouring out about 3/4 of the total amount in the blender.
4. Add the spirulina to the remaining amount and blend until green. Pour over top.
Garnish with fresh edible flowers!
