This cake was meant to be the belle of your elegant Halloween party. It’s beautiful and according to Jaclyn, publisher of Food + Words, it is the most scrumptious velvet (red or black) she’s ever made. The cake is a spooky jet black layer cake with chocolate marshmallow frosting and lots of orange sprinkles.
Although Jaclyn claims others can do a better job with the frosting and layering, we think her cake is just perfect, especially with the sparkler candle in the middle. This cake makes a dramatic Halloween entrance and a lasting impression!
