Our top 100 mom food bloggers can take care of the kids, work a 9-5 job, and whip up a mean souffl'. They are masters of the kitchen and the household, creators of cookies, packers of lunches, fixers of food fails. And perhaps best of all: They share their secrets with us each day on their blogs!
Babble asked them for a few more "secrets" - recipes and cooking tips - and we'll be running a new set of responses from them each month. For December, we asked each blogger to share how they fix food fails - because who hasn't been there?! Don't forget to check back next month, when the top 100 tell us their best tips and tricks for picky eaters!
How do you fix a food fail?
Find a new use for the food
How you deal with a food fail depends on the fail – it’s tough to turn down the salt or repair burnt anything! Overdone meat is turned into dog treats. Overdone veggies can be whirled into soup! Cookies that have burned on the bottoms (using a lighter cookie sheet helps if this is a common problem!) can be scraped and then whizzed into crumbs for a pie crust!
