Melissa’s Rankings

61 Points

Who: Melissa Sharp, mother of four, Tennessee

Why we love her: Cute and colorful, Japanese-style “bento box” lunches have grown in popularity recently, but Melissa’s approach to bento making is one of the simplest, most kid-friendly, and realistic styles on the internet. As a mom with four children (one autistic), Melissa understands the pinch most mother’s feel on their time. So, her bento box creations aren’t filled with fussy ingredients and hard-to-find garnishes. Instead, she has a knack for creating really adorable lunches that American kids will really eat. Her website is clean, well-organized and includes everything a beginning bento maker needs to know including detailed supply lists, tutorials and recipe ideas.
