Top 100 Food Mom Blogs, 2011

So for Babble's second annual Top Food Mom Blogs, we decided to go from 50 to 100 winners. Our food-loving panel made their picks, but we want your feedback, too, so nominate your favorite food mama here.

Guilty Kitchen | Elizabeth
Who: Elizabeth, mother of two, British Columbia
Why we love her: As Elizabeth explains it, the name “Guilty Kitchen” comes from the conflict between her desire to be a healthy role model for children and her love of “[f]ood that has butter, and cream, and sugar, and fat and loads of calories.” But as far as we’re concerned, she has nothing to be guilty about – as long as she keeps producing local, seasonal recipes with lovely photographs of her native Vancouver Island, we’re not going to count the calories. And besides, while she makes rich, fatty pork belly and a sumptuous caramel and apple cream cheese tart, Elizabeth also posts lots of veggies and lean grilled meats. So it’s not all guilty pleasures (not that we’d mind if it were).

There is one thing more exasperating than a wife who can cook and won’t and that’s a wife who can’t cook and will.
