Donettes On A Stick

If you’re looking for a quick and easy breakfast to make, then these Hostess Donettes on a Stick are just what you need. I saw an advertisement this week with doughnuts rolled in nuts and that that was a great idea and one that the kids could get involved with. I was right. They’re fun to make and fun to eat! You can use whichever nuts your family likes, we used Brazil Nuts here. I love the crunch and texture they add to the Donettes.
I think adding a few slices of fruit in between each Donette would be a great addition as well. Go ahead and get creative!

What you’ll need: {makes 1 Donette stick}
1 teaspoon honey
2 Hostess Devil’s Food Donettes
2 tablespoons crushed nuts of choice

What to do:
1. Using a pastry brush, brush honey onto the sides of both donettes. Carefully roll Donette sides in crushed nuts.

2. Stack Donettes. Insert a lollipop stick {or skewer} into middle of Donettes.

Many thanks to Hostess for sponsoring this post and for providing me and my family with a supply of Donettes. Find out more about Hostess Donettes at their Facebook fan page. Check out more posts in this campaign:
