Ready to call your kids to a dinner they’ll actually wanna eat? This fabulously clever Dorito Cheddar Chicken doesn’t use Dorito’s at all! It actually uses a secret combo of spices (you won’t believe what they are!) to mimic that classic Dorito flavor that everyone loves. The recipe is crazy simple to put together and makes for a fabulously fun and flavorful dish!
What You Need 1 of 7
Grab these few basic ingredients (plus 2 tablespoons of milk!) and preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Prep Your Workstation 2 of 7
Slice your chicken into strips. Whisk together the eggs and milk in one bowl. In a second bowl, toss together the shredded cheddar, packet of Mac & Cheese powder, and taco seasoning.
Prep Your Chicken 3 of 7
Dip each chicken strip into the egg mixture.
Coat with Cheese 4 of 7
Press the chicken into the cheddar mixture to coat one side with the cheese mixture.
Coat both sides of the chicken 5 of 7
Flip the chicken to the other side, press until cheese coats the chicken completely.

Place cheddar-coated chicken onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 18-22 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.

- 1 pound chicken, cut into strips
- 1 packet cheddar Mac & Cheese powder
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 2 cups extra-sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix Mac & Cheese packet, taco seasoning, and cheddar cheese in one medium bowl. In a second bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. Dip chicken into milk mixture, then into cheddar mixture. Transfer to prepared baking sheet and cook for 18-22 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through. Serve with sour cream and side salad for a delicious dinner!
