Double Rainbow YOPLAIT TRIX Parfaits

By Brooke McLay |

I love breakfast parfaits with yogurt and granola and lots of fresh berries, but my children seem less than enamored by them. Something about the crunchy and soft all rolled into a healthy package of hidden fruit, they say. Pish, I say. They gotta learn to love healthy sometime. And, as we make that transition from kid preferences to the sophisticated appreciations of a grown-up palate, I’m glad to know I’ve got YOPLAIT TRIX to help me train them up in the right way—with a little bit of fun along the way.

YOPLAIT TRIX yogurt gives kids a fun treat without high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, or sweeteners. Added to spoonfuls of TRIX cereal in a simple, colorful breakfast parfait, I love knowing I can be the “cool mom” while also being the smart mom, too!

Double Rainbow YOPLAIT TRIX Parfaits

  • 1 carton YOPLAIT TRIX Cotton Candy Yogurt
  • 1 carton YOPLAIT TRIX Strawberry Banana Bash Yogurt
  • 3/4 cup TRIX cereal

Spoon the Cotton Candy yogurt into the bottom of a small, glass jar or mini trifle bowl. Top with half of the TRIX cereal, then the Strawberry Banana yogurt. Finish off with cereal, serve immediately and enjoy.

Makes one large or two small servings.

I think I would actually like this (maybe with grownup yogurt tho)! I can never get myself to eat yogurt but I know how healthy it is!

You could even throw some berries on this!

My boys would be bouncing off the walls with these! But maybe with some regular granola in there, it might not be so bad. Might give it a try.

I’m always a little hesitant about giving my kids anything that looks like the Technicolor Dreamcoat, but if there’s really no artificial sweeteners or dies, then I’m all for it!

I second the suggestions above for some berries! Oh man, I think I need to head out to the grocery store this afternoon now!

okay, my kid is sitting right next to me right now and saw this on the screen…and wants to make these parfaits like NOW. Yes, she thinks they look like pretty much the best thing in the whole entire world.

It’s a little too sugary for breakfast – but would be a decadent dessert!

What a fun treat and I definitely understand the transition into the real deal parfait. This is a great step for this picky kids to move into the healthier adult fair.
