My friend and I decided to make some ginger caramel popcorn and she set off to peel and grate the ginger. I looked over and noticed her hacking away at the skin of the ginger with a knife. Picture slow motion ‘nooooo, stop!’. I just can’t bare to waste a single bit so I showed her to simplest most ginger saving way to peel the root. How to peel fresh ginger

It’s so simple, you will never believe it. Just grab a metal spoon and gently scrape away the skin. All that will come off is the skin, nothing else. If more than the skin is coming off, then lighten up on the scrapes!  How awesome and easy is that!
