Easter is coming, and that means plenty of hard boiled and decorated eggs. My kids would crack and peel eggs daily if I let them, and I’m always game for trying a new deviled egg recipe, but there’s some debate on how to hard boil an egg. This is the method we use because, well, it’s the easiest, and it’s near impossible to screw up.
Easy Hard Boiled Egg Recipe
6-12 eggs that have been hanging out in the fridge for a week
1/2 teaspoon salt
large saucepan or stockpot with a lid
Place the eggs in the stockpot and cover with water, 1″ above the top of the eggs. Add the salt. Place the stockpot over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Turn off the heat and cover, then let it sit for 15 minutes. Transfer the eggs to a bowl of cold water.
Once the eggs are cool, remove from water and store in the refrigerator until ready to decorate and/or eat. Enjoy!
