Fake-out Eggnog Recipe

Eggnog is everywhere this time of year. There are many variations on this classic holiday drink. Here’s one you might not be familiar with. It’s a FAKE-nog recipe from renowned NYC mixologist Joe Campanale. What makes it a FAKE nog you ask? Well, it’s because there are NO eggs in this drink at all. Making it perfect for those that might be a little afraid of using eggs {or that might even be allergic to eggs}! Intrigued? We are! “Fake Out” Eggnog — powered by ehow

Fake-Nog {Recipe compliments of eHow Rachael Ray Buddy, Joe Campanale}
Makes 1 drink
What you’ll need:
2 ounces dark rum, such as Gosling’s
2 ounces heavy cream or half-and-half
Few dashes Angostura bitters
Few grates fresh ground nutmeg, to garnish

What to do:
1. Add the rum, cream, and bitters to a mixing glass and fill the glass with ice. Close up the shaker and shake vigorously until the glass feels cold, about 20 seconds.

2. Strain the drink into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a few grates of nutmeg and serve.
