One of the most fleeting delights of summer is fresh figs. I especially love the bright pink sweet flesh of black mission figs, and scoop them up whenever I can. I like the tastiest summer fruits best all by themselves, or served up simply, and simple summer eating was the inspiration behind these fig and chevre toasts drizzled with an easy balsamic reduction.
Tiny toasts are great as a sophisticated appetizer, or an easy lunch or snack. However you serve them, you’ll love the combination of tangy chevre, sweet figs, and smoky sweet balsamic. Or, use our toasts as a jumping off point and make your own toasts to highlight your favorite summer ingredients.
