Savory dips are great for football parties, but sweet dips are fun too. I love this dip because it tastes exactly like eating a glob of peanut butter cookie dough. Yes, you heard that right, the dip is made to taste like dough! To give it a little extra football touch I covered it with a light layer of chocolate sprinkles and used edible pearls to make the stitching. White chocolate chips would work well if you don’t have the pearls. Then I surrounded the dip with pretzels for dip and let everyone go to town. This insanely decadent treat was just the thing for our weekend gathering. We loved the peanut butter paired with the salty pretzels and bet you will too!
Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Dip
adapted from Mel’s Kitchen Cafe
Makes about 3 cups
2 8-ounce packages cream cheese
1/4 cup smooth peanut butter
1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
How To Make It
1. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, peanut butter, confectioners’ sugar, and light brown sugar until smooth. Then beat in the vanilla and milk until smooth. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
2. Spread the dough into an oval baker or whatever decorative dish you choose. Spread a layer of chocolate sprinkles on top and make the stitching with edible pearls or white chocolate chips. Refrigerate the dough until ready to serve. Before serving, round with pretzels for dipping.
