Fun Kid's Activity: Homemade Ice Cream in a Bag

By laurasrecipes |

Sometimes I come across recipe ideas that are so different… so clever that I think “who on earth thought of this?” That is exactly what I was thinking when I found this article by Natalie of Perry’s Platewhich is quickly becoming one of my favorite food blogs. Natalie is also a contributor to Ree Drummond’s (Pioneer Woman) website Tasty Kitchen. This is where I found this amazing, clever and incredible kid-friendly fun way to make homemade ice cream! Curious? I was….

If I tried to tell you how this ice cream is made… and how it’s finished (in a dryer… yes .. as in the one you put clothes in… the hot one) you wouldn’t believe me. But it works and it looks like the best way to spend an afternoon with your kids who may have a craving for ice cream. As Natalie says “make them work for it!”
