Get HEFTY: The Easiest Way Ever to Cook and Butter Fresh Corn

It’s summertime! Fresh ears of corn are ready and waiting their butter schmears. Salt and pepper anxiously line up to be sprinkled on top of the seasons sweetest harvest. Gotta love fresh corn! Of course, cooking fresh corn can be a pain. Either you pull together a giant bot of boiling water (which does an awfully good job of heating up the kitchen) or toss that corn on the grill, giving a smoky flavor to the final product and taking away that simple goodness that is fresh cooked corn.

Lucky you! There’s another way to cook up and butter fresh corn and it’s as easy as …. well … ONE step! Just toss up to 3 peeled ears of corn into a Hefty Slider Bag with 3 tablespoons of butter, salt, and pepper. Slide the convenient Hefty Slider Bag closed, then microwave for 3 minutes. Once the corn is cooked, keep the bag closed and in the microwave for an additional 3-5 minutes, then shake it, serve it, and enjoy it right up!

    Nice! I love corn on the cob but am too lazy to cook it more than once or twice a summer. I never knew you could could make it in the microwave! Can’t wait to try this.

    So, corn is probably one of my most favorite things about the summer time. We eat it as often as we can. Usually we roast it on the grill, but this seems like an easy alternative for when my husband doesn’t feel like firing up the grill.
