Gingerbread Swirl Creamy Wheat Cereal
for 1 bowl:
1 1/2 cups cooked creamy wheat cereal (cook according to package)
1/2 cup warmed vanilla almond milk
2 Tbsp gingerbread swirl
1 Tbsp raisins, optional
gingerbread swirl (will be enough for two bowls):
1 Tbsp brown sugar
2 Tbsp vegan butter
2 tsp maple syrup
1/4 tsp ginger powder
1/4 tsp cinnamon
a few dashes nutmeg
a pinch of cardamom powder
(if you have molasses, add in a few drops as well)
1. Heat the gingerbread swirl ingredients in the microwave — stir until creamy.
2. Add your cream of wheat to serving bowl. Gently fold in warmed vanilla almond milk as desired — more milk makes a wetter bowl.
3. Swirl the gingerbread flavor over top and serve! Gingerbread sprinkles optional!
