As a fan of both food and fonts, I fell in love with these cupcakes immediately.
Lauren Hom came up with both – the typeface she designed in her sophomore year of college, the cupcakes in NYC an experiment to see how they worked in frosting, since the font was made for use in restaurants and on food packaging. Delicious!
I love the elegant script version of the ABC’s – and the dark brown (chocolate?) on pale blue frosting. This could conceivably be done with any font – choose your favourite and recreate it with a fine-tipped frosting bag, or melt dark chocolate in a small, sturdy zip-lock bag (seal and set in warm water), then snip a tip off a corner and squeeze out.
