Green Citrus Energy Shake for Spring
vegan, serves 1-2
1 large banana, frozen
1 orange, peeled (or substitute with 1/2 cup orange juice)
3 large leaves kale or a handful of spinach
1/2 cup almond milk, vanilla
1/4 cup coconut water
1/2 cup frozen melon (try cantaloupe, honeydew or watermelon)
1/4 cup ice cubes
Boost-it – Toss in:
1 tsp matcha green tea powder
1 tsp maca powder (known for its energizing properties)
1 scoop vegan protein powder (try hemp, pea or rice based blends – vanilla flavor will even work here)
3-4 raw walnuts
Blend and serve.
