Not only is she talented but she is funny as well. Please read more about Meaghan and the easy-to-create Halloween inspired Marshmallows…..
Meaghan stumbled into a “temporary” job as a cookie decorator (having never picked up a bag of frosting) in 1998 and stayed at the shop for almost ten years. During that time, she earned an MFA in Literature and a MA in Liberal Arts.
Though she loved academia and writing, she had no idea what to do with those degrees. So she combined the two halves and wrote a book on the art of cookie decorating, Cookie Sensations, published in 2007. She left the shop over 3 years ago because her daughter ‘makes me stay home with her’. But Meaghan couldn’t put down the frosting bag, so she started her blog, the decorated cookie. She is also the Edible Crafts editor at CraftGossip.com, and is working on another cookbook.
Meaghan loves the versatility of eatable art. Over the years, she has put just about any object you can name on a cookie: beers, mac n’ cheese, space aliens, canoes, human organs, Strawberry Shortcake, kitchen sinks… Seriously. Try and stump her.
