After a trip to the apple orchard a couple of weeks ago, we came home with 25 pounds of apples on our hands. The first thing I made was apple pie, but after that we still had plenty of apples. And besides, one can only eat so much dessert. So, we turned to some of our favorite savory apple recipes. Apples lend crunch and sweetness to salads, and bite to braises. I just love how they take on flavor, and add their distinctly mild sweetness to a host of fall recipes. Head below the jump for 10 of our very favorite ways to have an apple for dinner.
