Last year I went to visit my sister in Amsterdam and she arranged for us to take a chocolate cooking class. We walked in to find a beautiful and tiny French woman with all kinds of chocolates and special equipment. It was amazing to create fancy chocolates that I’ve only seen in specialty stores. I carefully packed my creations up and brought them all they way back to Los Angeles for my family to enjoy. Since then I have not made a single chocolate at home, it’s too fussy for this busy mom of three. I would still like to make my kids and husband a chocolatey treat for Valentine’s Day and these sea salt + maple bacon chocolate hearts came at just the right time! As soon as I saw them I began to drool, then I jumped with excitement at how simple they are to make. I will be double or tripling the batch so each person (myself included!) will have their very own box and I will be able to sample while the kids are at school, shhh.
Make your sweetheart these sea salt + maple bacon chocolate hearts for Valentine’s Day from Prudent Baby.
