Heart Shaped Food Day 10: Shot Through The Fruit Hearts

01 fruit heart

Hello there adorable little arrow hearts. What a sweet way to serve your kids breakfast, lunch or after school snack. It’s sure to get them talking about cupid and arrows and eating something healthy instead of a box full of chocolate for Valentine’s Day. In fact with these sweet fruit hearts you can skip the chocolate all together in favor of a healthy Valentine treat. Happy Valentine’s Day to all!

What you need:

watermelon, apple, cantaloup or any fruit large enough to make into hearts

skewers, heart shaped cookie cutter

What you do:

Cut hearts out of the melon, cut triangles and fletchings (the back end of the arrow) from apple slices. Place fruit in order on the skewer and serve!
