Hits & Misses - Food Trends of 2012

As 2012 comes to a close, AllRecipes decided take a look at food trends that dominated the year. In their Measuring Cup Report, they share what they learned over a year of gathering data at the world’s largest digital food site. That is until cravings for comfort food surged, making meat loaf, canning recipes, lava cake and slow cookers equally hot. It’s a great read for those interested in food, whether as a glimpse into the past or a peek into what might be to come in 2013.

In the AllRecipes.com Newsroom, you can find the complete “Just a Dash” Measuring Cup Report – What’s Hot, What’s Not — the Biggest 2012 Industry Predictions Fails—Sleeper Hits and Top ‘Mispeld’ Food Words. A great holiday read for foodies as you curl up on the couch with an eggnog!
