There surely can’t be a better time to get children into the kitchen and excited about food and cooking than around Christmastime. Steeped in tradition and distinctive flavors, there’s nothing quite like it. At this time of year, everything takes on a magical sparkle and feels that little bit more special, and cooking and eating are no exception.
As this is THE party season, there are loads of dishes that the kids can make to serve to their friends or even to make together for a sleepover, and if they’ve had a hand in making them, they’ll taste so much better.
This year, start some new traditions with the children in your family. Give everyone an apron and a wooden spoon and let the fun begin.
Scrumptious, deep, chocolatey brownies that are topped with a delicious chocolate buttercream and scattered with festive candies.

This is the perfect cake for a Christmas party, as it will feed a good crowd of hungry mouths.
