Homemade Apple Chips: A Healthy Lunchbox Treat

A few weeks ago our family headed to upstate New York for a trip to a farm. We came back with a couple of pumpkins and a big load of apples. Instead of my usual apple sauce, I wanted to try something new. Apple chips were appealing since they’d make a great lunchbox treat. I was really surprised at how simple they were to make. My take was sugar-free with lots of cinnamon and a big pinch of salt, but the recipe is so versatile, it would be great with salty or sweet variations.

I’d also like to submit that these would be a great pre-Thanksgiving nosh. They’re seriously satisfying and totally guilt-free.
