I am a complete sucker for homemade granola. I made my first batch of granola a few years ago and have not bought any since. It’s incredibly simple to make – it’s main ingredients usually being rolled oats, nuts and dried fruits – and can be changed up each and every time you bake up a batch. You have to trust me on this one and promise to make some very soon, okay?
My last batch of granola was based on a recipe from one of Family Kitchen’s very own writers and contributors, Kelsey – also known as The Naptime Chef. Kelsey very recently released her first cookbook, named after her blog, and I am enjoying reading it like a book, which is often how I read my cookbooks. I have marked several recipes to try, the first one being this Cranberry Spice Granola. I have to admit…this granola did not last very long in my house. I have been snacking on it for the last few days, and the jar is down to nothing but crumbs. Like I said, I’m a sucker for homemade granola. And I am pretty sure that once you try it you will be too.
