Tomorrow is Elvis’ birthday and people from near and far will be celebrating The King of Rock & Roll. Naturally when people think of Elvis, they think of his music, his hip shaking and that (dreadful) white jumpsuit. What comes to mind for me is the food he loved. He had quite a unique palate. The one food that Elvis was most associated with was a pan fried peanut butter, banana and bacon sandwich. There are as many stories around this sandwich as there are about the possibility of him still being alive. There is also some controversy to whether or not bacon was included in his favorite sandwich. I’m going for the gusto and saying it was in there. So grab your jar of peanut butter, put on a little Jail House Rock and follow the jump for the recipe.
