How to Make Hummus

Hummus is a power house of a dip, spread, snack or appetizer. The basic recipe is made from  mashed cooked chick peas, olive oil, tahini paste, citrus juice, salt and garlic among others. All things that are good for you not to mention delicious. Once you have the basic recipe down you can add in just about any flavor you desire. One of my favorites is Roasted Red Pepper Hummus. Did I mention that it takes all of about 5 minutes to make. You can find some of our hummus recipes after the jump {including homemade pita chips} Hummus is a snack/appetizer you can feel good about serving. It’s full of protein and fiber. It’s high in Iron and Vitamin C. And most definitely delicious!
