Ina Garten swears by truffle butter. I can’t blame her, truffle butter is AMAZING! Ina also swears that truffle butter makes the most delicious, moist turkey in the whole wide world. I haven’t tried it myself yet, but I plan to this Thanksgiving. The best part is that the procedure is so incredibly simple. Take a container of truffle butter and rub it all over the turkey, both under and over and the skin. Ina recommends using 3 ounces of truffle butter for a 12 to 14 pounds turkey. Sprinkle the cavity with Kosher salt and black pepper and add a head of garlic cut lengthwise and one unpeeled onion cut into eighths. After the turkey has been rubbed with the butter brush it with olive oil and sprinkle one tablespoon of thyme leaves on top. It is such an easy method for roasting turkey, the whole family will love it!
