Your kids love apple juice, right? Bananas, yes? (Both ingredients in this recipe.) But kale… not so much? Well here is a snazzy way to get kids to love kale. Yes, I said love kale. Well at least that is what Sonnet from For the Love of Food Blog says. She took on the challenge of getting kids to love green sips and found extreme success. She says, “For fall, I wanted to focus on introducing them to greens because we often hear that “kids just won’t eat greens.” Really? I decided to take it as a challenge … Over the past couple of weeks I have made this smoothie with over 50 children who not only drink up every last drop, but they will literally fight each other for seconds, thirds, and fourths. I have seen plenty of pushing, tears, and spills around here. Luckily, the abundance of green smiles makes up for it. “

Sonnet’s tip for green smoothies: Blend! Blend! Blend! Good tip. The smoother the sip, the easier the flavors blend into something new and delicious – rather than ‘grassy green’ in flavor.
