Brussels sprouts are my favorite kind of sprouts. Also one of my favorite things from Brussels, behind waffles, ahead of Jean-Claude Van Damme, and way ahead of that statue of a kid urinating. Grow up, Belgium. So when we had a fantastic Brussels sprouts dish at Frankies 457, we had to try to recreate the flavors at home.
And while we didn’t recapture the texture of the dish we had at the restaurant, I think we did a nice job of getting its wonderful flavors. Delicately shaved raw Brussels sprouts form the base of this dish and lemon juice and Parmesan give it its kick. Interested in trying it yourself? Head over to Brooklyn Supper for our recipe.
