Light & Flavorful Brown Sugar Tea Cake

Brown Sugar Tea Cake

I love dessert.  Truth be told, I’m often tempted to order dessert, instead of ordering a meal, when we go out to eat.  But I usually manage to restrain myself.  But occasionally I know that I’m going to be powerless to withstand my need for sugar, so I have some standby treats that will make me feel like I’m getting my treat without tons of sugar.  My recipe for brown sugar tea cake is one of those treats.  It’s easy to make and one serving only has 125 calories and 1.3 grams of fat.  The cake’s texture is like a cross between a regular yellow cake and a angel food cake, and it tastes like a light spice cake.  It is amazing topped with whipped cream and orange zest, or berries.  A perfect light dessert for spring!  You can get the recipe in my post on bell’alimento!
