Make Ahead Party Appetizers with Hefty Slider Bags

Entertaining can be so much fun but it can also be stressful. Whether you’re planning for 5 or 50, the preparation, cleaning, shopping, cooking and more cleaning can be exhausting. With a little extra planning, you can enjoy spending time with your guests instead of slaving in the kitchen.

Some appetizer recipes can be made in advance and survive well in the freezer. The next time you are preparing for a party, double the recipe and freeze the extra batch in Hefty Slider bags for another time. Then all you have to do is assemble and bake for your next event or last minute dinner party.  The Hefty bags keep food fresh in the freezer for months.

Here are a few of my favorite recipes that freeze well:

Mushroom Crostades: These little bread cups are filled with a savory, rich and creamy mushroom filling. The filling and caps can be made months in advance and frozen separately. Just fill the caps with the filling and bake the next time you have guests. Click HERE for the recipe.

Phyllo Triangles: These little pastry triangles really freeze well. You can fill them with a traditional spinach and feta filling or any of your favorite flavor combinations.  Just pop them in the oven when you want to impress your guests with a last minute treat. Spicy Stuffed Crimini Mushrooms: The spicy chorizo sausage and herb filling can be made and frozen in a Hefty Slider bag. Just buy fresh mushrooms and fill them with the defrosted filling. Click to get the recipe right here on Babble.
