My brother in-law is a huge Cranberry Sauce fan. You can call it Cranberry Sauce, Cranberry Relish or even make Orange-Cranberry sauce as long as you make one.

Pear Cranberry Sauce (Yield: 3 cups)
Ingredients
1 package (12 ounces) fresh or frozen cranberries
2 medium pears, peeled and cubed
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
1 to 2 teaspoons minced fresh gingerroot
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions
In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients and cook over medium heat about 15 minutes, until the cranberries pop.  Transfer to a small bowl and refrigerate until chilled.
