Making Breadcrumbs Is Easy With Hefty Slider Bags

Do you ever look in your pantry for breadcrumbs thinking you have some for a specific recipe just to find out you don’t have any? I can’t tell you how many times that has happened to me in the past. What do I do to keep it from happening? I save the end pieces from my bread loaves. I pop them into a large gallon freezer bag and when I need breadcrumbs I make them myself. It’s easy peasy and I’m not spending any extra money.

This is also a great way to use stale bread, hamburger or hotdog buns!

What to do:
1. Toast desired amount of bread. Allow bread to cool.

2. Place bread inside Hefty Slider Bag.

3. Using a rolling pin or mallet, bash bread until it’s to desired consistency.

NOTE: To make Italian bread  crumbs add 1 teaspoon (or desired amount) of Italian seasoning to breadcrumbs.
