Nacho Mama's Pizza

By Brooke McLay |

The hubby is all a a flutter over March Madness.  He’s got his brackets picked, his team jerseys ready to rock, and this ridiculous Nacho pizza to nosh over.  What could be better that a month of basketball and crazy good eats?  And yes, this pizza is crazy good.  There’s a secret to getting the cheese soft and nacho-ey.  There’s a sprinkling of all your favorite nacho toppings, and a massive dollop of sour cream to boot.  It’s simple, sassy, and spicy.  The perfect pizza for March madness, Friday nights, or any old time you’ve got a craving for crazy good food.

Nacho Pizza

  • 1 prepared pizza crust
  • 4 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/3 cup jalapeno peppers
  • 1/4 cup chopped purple onions, olives, and/ or tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro and/or scallions
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Prebake the pizza crust (if it’s not already baked) just slightly (about 6-8 minutes is usually enough).  In a large bowl, stir together the cheese, flour, and milk.  Spread over the pizza crust.  Sprinkle jalapenos, onions, olives, and tomatoes.  Bake in an oven preheated to 425 degrees for 14-16 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly.  Remove from oven, top with cilantro, scallions, and sour cream before serving.  Enjoy!

I don’t understand putting flour and milk on it. I don’t put those on either pizza or nachos.

@DEW: You don’t put milk and flour on it! You mix them with the shredded cheese and it makes a cheese sauce on the pizza.
