Really? There’s a National Junk Food Day? Sure enough, and it’s today, July 21st. I mean, I suppose if there’s a National Ice Cream Day (and month), there would be a National Junk Food Day as well.
As Paula shared over on Strollerderby, “A 2003 study found that nearly a third of the calories Americans consume are junk food”. Um. Yeah. So, we like junk food. Jaime’s Homemade Ho-hos are top-notch, and while she describes them as a pain, I have a trick to solve that. Kelsy has me sold with these. Can you imagine the looks on your kids’ faces when you whip up a batch of these? A tall glass of milk and a homemade Oreo are all you need to get your junk food kick today.

Yes, both Jaime and Brooke have tackled this easy breakfast food such is its popularity. Sprinkles and frosting and filling? Oh my. Toss a few in freezer bags and then revive in the toaster oven until warm and delicious.
