I LOVE delicious teas and drink them all throughout the day. In the morning I drink black teas and in the afternoon I tend to choose something more herbal. I always find tea soothing and stimulating and I know it has health benefits. I usually just add hot water to a mug when I make tea but the other day I got some cool tea samples in the mail from Allegra Fine Tea and Whole Foods along with a great brewing guide. I tried all three varieties and they were awesome each in their own way.
Allegro Fine Tea Organic Splendid Oolong is an organic, partially oxidized tea with a flowery, lively mix of oolong flavors. Sublime hints of spice and roasted nuts create an intriguing balance of vegetal and earthy, in a tea that’s refreshing and awakening any time of day. Learn more about this wonderful tea, and how it’s sourced from Allegro’s field expert Darin in his Tea Journal or watch this video from the tea garden. I love the light flowery notes of this tea and might consider using it for iced tea this summer.
Allegro Fine Tea Organic EarlGrey – This full and uplifting tea is an inspired version of the world’s most popular scented tea. Balanced and hearty, with natural bergamot and a hint of ripe lemon, it has a distinctive flavor and aroma that is enticing, yet not overpowering. Admittedly, this tea not usually my favorite flavor but I really liked this tea with the awesome deep, smokey flavor.
Drinking lots of nourishing fluids is key to maintaining a strong immune system. I loved the Allegro Fine Tea Seasonal Well-Being Tea – a comforting, caffeine-free blend of organic eleuthero, astragalus, lemon myrtle, echinacea root, peppermint, yarrow, elder flowers, ashwaganda and licorice root – its sturdy flavor strengthens your feeling of wellness all year long.
Perfect for a cold winter night, Allegro Fine Tea Northwest Minty Green tea is chock-full of antioxidants and refreshing peppermint and spearmint to sooth sore, itchy throats and ease congestion.
Another little treat that came with my package was this cool L.I.F.E. Jacket reusable canvas cup sleeve . You can pick it up at any Whole Foods Market coffee bar and you’ll not only be saving your mitts, you’ll be helping the Kenyan women who sew each sleeve to send their kids to school.
