Please take this as a suggestion and not a criticism … we’d love to see more dairy- and egg-free recipes, as this selection was a little heavy on the gluten-free. Check out our favorite allergy-free baking blog and cookbook: Food Allergy Mama (www.foodallergymama.com). Keep ‘em coming!

  2. Wendy says:

The heading on this website page says “25 Allergy-Free Recipes for Kids/ Gluten free, nut free, dairy free foods.” I’d love to know what brand of butterscotch chips and white chocolate are dairy and nut free. I’ve been looking forever and can’t find any! So if this Butterscotch treats recipe truly is gluten, nut and dairy free please share the brands for the ingredients! Thanks!!

I live in cincinnati and have the blessing of Jungle Jims being 5 miles down the road!! They sell a semi-sweet chocolat chip that is nut, eggs, dairy, and gluten free but tastes just like Hersheys!! The brand is Divvies. They have a web site at http://www.Divvies.com. Maybe you can get some info there on where to find them in your area.

  4. Cheri Glesener says:

Carissa, check this site out may have the combinations you are looking for! Love Cheri

  5. Jessica Allen Stewart says:

@Wendy, when you click on the link for the recipe, it only says that it is gluten free. I think they are just lumping them all together and not all the recipes are free of all of the stated allergens.

  6. Anonymous says:

Fritos contain wheat and are therefore NOT gluten free. And that’s based on having READ the ingredients list as late as the summer 2011.

  7. JMH11576 says:

Only some Fritos contain wheat. The original corn chips are only made of corn, corn oil, and salt. I checked a package and the website today just be sure. The website gives the whole list of their products that are gluten free among many other allergens.

  8. Anonymous says:

Are you people serious… A pine nut is a TREE NUT NOT a seed. My son almost died from eating a pine nut and now has a TREE NUT allergy not a seed allergy. Get your facts straight before you hurt someone that has a tree nut allergy.

  9. Sunni says:

No such luxury in Australia…while gluten free is all the rage and catered for…my one year old is allergic to cows milk protein and eggs and has an intolerance to soy…fun trying to accommodate his fat and calcium requirements while not giving him too much fruit as it goes straight through him…oh yea he can’t have galactose either…there’s not a lot of variety for him

  10. Diane ( says:

Under U.S. Law a Pine Nut is considered a tree nut and IS a common allergy amongst children who have any form of ‘Nut’ allergy. Be careful here, and do your research folks!
