Nutella Banana Quesadillas

thenaptimechef TheNaptimeChef |

quesadillasI love Nutella Banana crepes and and so does my daughter. The only problem is that when she wanted one last week she had no interest in waiting for me to whip up crepe batter. For plan B (aka get them on the table as fast as possible) I decided to try using tortillas instead of the more traditional crepes. I filled them with the nutella and sliced bananas and crisped them up in a skillet. Everything melted together and it was like a crispy sandwich that was completely delicious. We were thrilled this new method and made them again the next day. Turns out nutella quesadillas are our new favorite after school snack!

Nutella Banana Quesadillas

1 banana sliced

1 heaping tablespoon of nutella

2 tortillas

1. Swipe one tortillas with the nutella and top with the sliced bananas. Close with the second tortilla. Place it in a skillet warm over medium heat and allow the quesadillas to toast for about 2 minutes per side to crisp up.

This is a great way to satisfy a Nutella crepe craving!

This has become one of my favorite weekend treat breakfasts, only I use Justin’s Chocolate Hazelnut Butter instead of Nutella; it’s higher in protein and lower in sugar.

Sometimes I’ll also use regular peanut butter, sliced apples or pears, and a healthy shake of cinnamon.

Finally, I like La Tortilla Factory’s low-carb multigrain tortillas–80 calories each, 12 g fiber per serving.

    Simple and perfect!
