A Family Kitchen Giveaway: Odwalla Product Supports Breast Cancer Research

By OneHungryMama |

The good folks at Odwalla have introduced Pink Poetry, a new Superfood Smoothie, to help raise awareness of breast cancer. To celebrate the occasion and strong women everywhere, they are contributing $25,000 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. To celebrate that, we at the Family Kitchen are (drumroll, please!)…

giving away a free Pink Poetry sample pack. That’s 6 full size bottles of the good stuff!

Created with women’s wellness in mind, Pink Poetry contains two things often lacking in women’s diets: antioxidant Vitamins C & E, as well as iron and calcium. It’s also made with plum, dark sweet cherry, guava and other juices, along with hibiscus, cranberry, and green tea extracts. Hello! How delicious does that sound? Well, I can tell you from first hand experience that it tastes even better than you think. And, just like with all Odwalla products, you won’t find any artificial colors, flavors, preservatives or genetically modified ingredients in Pink Poetry.

Want some? Read on to enter.

My mother is amazing – she inspires me to be healthy and take care of myself the right way, but still have fun and enjoy life. She worked as an RN and is one of the smartest people I know. I am so thankful she is in my life. Tweeting the contest under @TheSolarCo

My mom inspires me to take care of myself and make sure I am healthy for my children and my family. I had put off tests and routine stuff for so long, but after a talk with her and her constant nagging, realized it was time to start caring for myself. While I am not 100% there yet, I have begun the long road to wellness.

I’d have to say my mom inspires me to take care of myself…she’s 81 and still has more energy than I do. Also, my daughter who is always on the hunt for healthier options & menus & keeps me informed :)

  10. Landogriffin says:

A family friend, Karen, inspires me greatly. She is a two time breast cancer survivor, having endured two mastectomies. These diagnoses came as she cared for her son, who was diagnosed with leukemia as an infant. Luckily, both have persevered and are healthy at the moment. I don’t know how she did it, but seeing that someone can get through such monumental challenges surely puts things in perspective for me when college challenges seem insurmountable.

  11. Maureen says:

My grandmother died shortly before I got married. She was just a few months shy of her 98th birthday. She was lively and spry and had a smile behind everything she did. She was doing the Irish Jig until just a few months prior to her death. I keep going thinking of her.
