Paris Remembers Michael Jackson's "Best" French Toast

By OneHungryMama |

pumpkin challah french toastOprah’s long awaited interview with the Jackson family, including MJ’s children, aired today. In an interview with 12-year-old Paris, she revealed that her dad “…made the best French toast in the world.”

I was immediately reminded of a recently released interview with John Lennon where he revealed a touching, favorite memory of baking bread with his son.

I love thinking about these mega celebrities, at home, cooking with and for family. It’s so… real. And a reminder of how powerful the relationship is between food, love and memories.

Even if you can’t cook as often as us Family Kitchen folk, or you just don’t love cooking as much as we do, sometimes it’s worth taking the time to make a little something for your loved ones. It doesn’t have to be fancy or complicated. Just food made with love.

In fact, as well as I can cook, some of my kids’ favorite foods are the least fussy. Like these Apple Dumplings or this Nutella Hot Chocolate.

Here’s a round-up of Family Kitchen French Toast recipes in honor of Michael Jackson.
