Can you believe it’s time to say farewell to another summertime? With Labor Day Weekend fast approaching, I can’t help but get a little nostalgic about white pants, the smell of cocoa butter, sand between my toes and crumb-topped Peach and Berry Cobbler still warm from the oven.
This summer was special for me. When it comes to Fruit Cobbler, I mean.
You see, I got Rebecca Lando’s Working Class Foodies Cookbook and discovered this recipe. And while I enjoyed every mouthful of my Peach and Berry version, the sweet cornmeal crust and crumbly crumb topping will lovingly cradle any seasonal fruit you want to bake inside.
So even though I’ll have to give up my white pants until next summer, I won’t have to give up this Fruit Cobbler. And I can’t wait to give an Apple Cranberry Cobbler a try… and reluctantly get out a sweater or two.
