An Easy Recipe for Pear & Vanilla Dutch Baby Pancakes
Have you tried making Dutch baby pancakes? While I love the classic pancake recipe, Dutch babies have a distinct advantage over everyday flapjacks —— you only have to make one of them! Just whip up the batter, saute some fruit, bake, slice, and serve. No standing over the stove for a half hour endlessly flipping pancakes. And because they’re so easy to cook, Dutch babies are perfect for brunches with company.

I love to play around with the flavors in my Dutch baby pancakes, so for this recipe I went with the classic pairing of real vanilla beans and sweet pears. Let’s just say this Dutch baby wasn’t around for very long. I also love that the sweetness of the fruit means that you don’t need to add a ton of maple syrup, though we usually go for at least a drizzle.
