Perfect Party Treats: Push Up Cake Pops

By Brooke McLay |

There’s a hot new trend hitting the food blogs these days, Push Up Cake Pops are all the rage and it’s time you hop onto the cool train. While I’ve never been a big fan of cake pops. They are messy to make and less than delicious. I’ve always found them to taste a bit like wax candles or frosting flavored lip gloss. So, I was surprised when I started toying with these Push Up Cake Pops. I thought they were just another silly trend, fun to look at, but highly impractical. Rather, they were simple to make and turned cupcakes and cakes into easily portable treats. After I’d pulled together my firstbatch of push-up pops, I just tossed them into a box for saving. No worrying about frosting being smooshed or smashed. Love it!

If you’re interested in making your own push-up pops, check out our step-by-step tutorial. Then pull together your own batch of adorable push-up pops from this list of favorite combinations below!
